Terms
Terms of sale and service
The terms for learner accounts, course purchases, and use of the Polyseminar website.
Version: terms-of-sale-2026-10-23b, in force from 23 October 2026. Wersja polska.
Accounts and course purchases are not open yet. Until they open, clauses 1, 3.3, 11, 12 and 16 apply to your use of the website, and the rest of these terms describe how accounts and purchases will work.
1. Who we are
1.1. These terms are issued by Michał Sadurski, acting personally under unregistered activity (działalność nierejestrowana) within the meaning of article 5 of the Polish Entrepreneurs’ Law (Prawo przedsiębiorców). In these terms “Polyseminar”, “we” and “us” mean him.
1.2. Contact: email office@polyseminar.com, telephone +48 452 663 707, or post to the address in clause 17. Complaints go to the same email or postal address.
1.3. We are not registered in CEIDG, KRS or REGON, and we have no business NIP.
1.4. These terms are the regulamin required by article 8 of the Polish Act on Providing Services by Electronic Means (ustawa o świadczeniu usług drogą elektroniczną). You can read them free of charge on this page before you order, and save or print them from here at any time. On request we send them by email.
2. Definitions
- Site: polyseminar.com and its subdomains.
- Course: an online course we offer on the site, as described on its course page at the time of the order. The course you buy is the one named in your order.
- Access: the ability to open the course’s lessons, questions and other paid material on the site through your account, for the access period.
- Access period: the number of months shown on the buy page and in your order confirmation, counted from the moment we open access after your purchase.
- Account: the learner account described in clause 5.
- Consumer: a natural person who buys for purposes outside their trade or profession. Under Polish law the consumer rules on distance contracts, withdrawal and conformity also protect a sole trader who buys something that is not of a professional character for them (article 7aa of the Polish Consumer Rights Act). Where these terms say “consumer”, they include that person.
- Consumer Rights Act: the Polish Act of 30 May 2014 on consumer rights (ustawa o prawach konsumenta), as amended.
- Durable medium: a means that lets you keep information addressed to you and reproduce it unchanged later, such as an email or a PDF file.
- Order: your request to buy access, made through the buy page and the checkout.
- Checkout: the payment page run by Stripe, to which the site sends you to pay.
3. What we provide
3.1. We provide two things by electronic means: a free learner account on the site (clause 5), and paid access to the course for a fixed access period (clauses 6 to 10).
3.2. We supply the course online only. Nothing is shipped, and nothing comes on a physical carrier. There is no subscription, no renewal and no further payment after the price in clause 7.
3.3. These terms apply to every account and every order placed on the site. The free parts of the site that need no account (the public pages, the readiness check, free labs and sample lessons) are not a contract under these terms, but clauses 11 and 12 apply to them too.
3.4. These terms are available in Polish and in English. Both versions have the same numbering and the same content. If you are a consumer and a Polish citizen, the Polish version prevails in case of any difference (article 8(1a) of the Polish Language Act). Otherwise the version you accepted when ordering prevails.
4. Technical requirements
4.1. To use the site, the account and the course you need:
- a device with an internet connection;
- a current version of Google Chrome, the browser we test the site in, with JavaScript enabled and cookies enabled for polyseminar.com (other current browsers usually work, but we test only Chrome);
- an email address you can read, because sign-in works by email link.
4.2. The course runs in the browser. There is no app, download or installation. It has no technical protection that restricts your device, and no limit on the number of devices. Your progress is saved to your account, so you can continue on another device.
4.3. We do not promise that the course works in browsers or on devices outside clause 4.1. If a problem turns out to come from your own hardware, software or connection rather than from the course, we may ask you to help us check that in a reasonable way (clause 10.6).
5. Account
5.1. You sign in with a link that we email to the address you give. There is no password. A link works once, for 15 minutes. One address receives at most 5 links an hour.
5.2. Signing in sets one necessary cookie, polyseminar.session_token. It keeps you signed in for 30 days from its last renewal, unless you sign out first. You can sign out on one device or on every device from your account page.
5.3. The account is free. It holds your email address, the courses you have access to, and your lesson progress and answers. The privacy notice describes this in full.
5.4. The account is personal. Do not share sign-in links or let someone else use your account. Keep your email inbox secure, because anyone who controls it can sign in as you.
5.5. The account contract starts when you first sign in and runs for an indefinite time. You can end it at any time by deleting the account on your account page, or by asking us at office@polyseminar.com to delete it. Deleting the account deletes its course access, progress and sessions. Deleting it during a paid access period ends that access without a refund, unless you are using a statutory right (clauses 9 and 10). Before you delete the account, your account page shows the date your access ends and asks you to confirm. If you want to keep the course until then, do not delete the account; it costs nothing to keep.
5.6. We may end the account contract with 14 days’ notice by email if you seriously break clause 12, or if we close the site. If we close the site during a paid access period, we refund the part of the price for the unused access period within 14 days. We may suspend access at once, for as long as needed, if the account is being used to attack the site or to copy paid material. We tell you why.
5.7. If nobody uses the account for 12 months, we may end the account contract and delete the account, because we do not keep data we no longer need. Using the account means signing in, working on a lesson, starting an order, or having course access that has not yet ended. We tell you by email at least 30 days before we delete it, and signing in during that time keeps the account. Your orders are kept as the privacy notice describes.
6. Ordering and payment
6.1. The course page shows the course and its contents. The buy page shows its price, its access period and how to pay. Those pages and these terms form the offer.
6.2. To order, sign in to your account first, then open the buy page from the course page. The course opens in the account you are signed in to.
6.3. The buy page shows the price, a link to these terms, the statement in clause 6.9, and the checkbox in clause 9.3. You accept these terms there and go on to the checkout. The checkout shows the amount to pay, and you confirm the order with its payment button. Pressing that button places an order with an obligation to pay.
6.4. The contract is concluded when Stripe confirms your payment to us. We then send the confirmation in clause 6.6 and open access under clause 8.1, unless clause 6.10 holds the order. If payment fails or is not confirmed, no contract is made and nothing is charged.
6.5. You pay through the checkout by card, or by another method that Stripe offers for your country. Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe, Limited) receives the payment data; we never see your card number. Stripe’s own terms and privacy notice apply to the checkout.
6.6. After payment we email you a confirmation of the contract. For an order held under clause 6.10, we send it once you have made the statement there. It contains the order details, the access dates, the version of these terms that applies to your order, and the record of the consent and acknowledgement you gave under clause 9.3, or, if you did not give them, your withdrawal deadline.
6.7. We issue an invoice on request (an invoice without VAT, because our sales are exempt under article 113 of the Polish VAT Act). Ask at office@polyseminar.com within 3 months from the end of the month in which you paid.
6.8. We sell to consumers only: people who buy the course for themselves and not for a business, and sole traders for whom the course has no professional character (clause 2). We do not sell to companies or other organisations. Clauses 11.5 and 16.2 apply only if, despite this, a buyer turns out not to be a consumer.
6.9. We do not sell to anyone who lives in the United Kingdom. A seller based outside the UK must register for UK VAT before its first sale there, and we have not. On the buy page you confirm that you live outside the UK, and the checkout asks for your billing address. If you live in the UK, the buy page lets you ask us to email you once you can buy the course. In these terms the United Kingdom includes the Isle of Man, which shares its VAT area.
6.10. If the billing address you give at checkout is in the UK, it does not match your statement under clause 6.9. We then accept the payment but hold the order: we do not open access, and we email you a link to a page where you state the country where you normally live and confirm that the statement is true. If you name a country outside the UK within 14 days of payment, we open access under clause 8.1. If you name the UK, or make no statement within those 14 days, we end the contract and refund the full price to the payment method you used within 14 days. If we find later that the statement was false, we may end the contract and refund the price.
7. Price
7.1. The price of a course is shown on its buy page and at the checkout. This is the final price. It includes every tax we must charge, and there are no further fees for payment, delivery or the account.
7.2. The price is shown in euro. If your bank or card issuer converts it to another currency, their rate and any conversion fee are between you and them.
7.3. If we ever announce a reduced price, we show next to it the lowest price we charged for the course in the 30 days before the reduction, as article 4(2) of the Polish Act on Informing about Prices of Goods and Services requires.
7.4. We do not personalise prices by automated decision-making.
7.5. We may give you a discount code. You enter it at the checkout, which shows the reduced amount to pay before you confirm the order. A code is valid only for the courses, the period and the number of uses we state when we give it, and it cannot be exchanged for money. Where these terms speak of the price you paid or of refunding the price, they mean the amount you paid after the code. If a code reduces the amount to nothing, we take no payment, clause 6.10 does not apply, and there is nothing to refund if you withdraw or the contract ends. A code we give to particular people is not an announced price reduction under clause 7.3.
8. Access period
8.1. We open access as soon as Stripe confirms your payment, if you gave the consent in clause 9.3, or for an order held under clause 6.10, as soon as you make the statement there. If you did not, we open access on the first day after the 14-day withdrawal period ends (clause 9.5). The access period runs from the moment we open access.
8.2. The access period is the one shown on the buy page when you order, and your order confirmation states its start and end. During it you may open the course as often as you like. Access ends automatically at the end of the period. There is no renewal and no automatic charge.
8.3. Your account page shows the date your access ends.
8.4. When access ends, the course’s lessons, questions and other paid material close. Your account, your progress and your answers stay in the account, as the privacy notice describes, until you ask us to delete the account. You can buy a further access period at any time; it is added to the end of your current access period, and your progress carries over.
8.5. During the access period we keep the course in conformity with the contract (clause 10). We change the course only under clause 13.
9. Right of withdrawal and its loss
9.1. If you are a consumer, you may withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days without giving a reason and at no cost, under article 27 of the Consumer Rights Act. For a contract for digital content, the 14 days run from the day the contract is concluded.
9.2. To withdraw, send us a clear statement by email to office@polyseminar.com or by post to the address in clause 17. You may use the model form in Annex A, but you do not have to. It is enough to send the statement before the 14 days end. If you withdraw by email, we confirm receipt by email at once. We refund every payment you made within 14 days of receiving your statement, by the payment method you used, unless you expressly agree to another method that costs you nothing.
9.3. Immediate access and loss of the right of withdrawal. Under article 38(1)(13) of the Consumer Rights Act, you lose the right of withdrawal for digital content not supplied on a tangible medium if, before we start supplying it, you expressly consent to our starting during the withdrawal period, you acknowledge that you thereby lose the right of withdrawal, and we confirm that consent and acknowledgement to you on a durable medium. On the buy page we ask for that consent and acknowledgement with a checkbox that is not ticked in advance. If you tick it, we open access as soon as your payment is confirmed, and you lose the right of withdrawal from the moment access opens. We record the time and the exact wording you accepted, and we repeat them in the confirmation email (clause 6.6).
9.4. You do not have to tick the box. You can buy the course without it.
9.5. If you do not tick the box, we open access on the first day after the 14-day withdrawal period ends, and you keep the full right of withdrawal until then. The access period starts when we open access, so you lose no access time.
9.6. If we fail to obtain your consent and acknowledgement, or fail to confirm them to you on a durable medium, you keep the right of withdrawal, and you owe nothing for content supplied during the withdrawal period (article 36 point 2 of the Consumer Rights Act, which transposes article 14(4)(b) of Directive 2011/83/EU).
9.7. When you withdraw, we may close your access to the course. Your answers and progress are activity data tied to the course, and we do not use them for any other purpose. On request we delete them with the account.
9.8. The right of withdrawal applies to consumers.
10. Conformity and complaints
10.1. We are liable to consumers for the conformity of the course with the contract under chapter 5b of the Consumer Rights Act (articles 43h to 43q), which implements Directive (EU) 2019/770. We cannot limit that liability, and these terms do not try to.
10.2. The course conforms if it matches its description on the course page and in these terms, is fit for the purposes such material is normally used for, and has the quality, functionality, compatibility, accessibility, continuity and security you can reasonably expect of a course of this kind, taking into account any public statement we have made about it. We supply the course in the latest version available at the time of the order.
10.3. We supply the course continuously during the access period, so it must stay in conformity for the whole period, and we supply any update, including a security update, needed to keep it so. We tell you about such updates in the course or by email when they matter to you.
10.4. If the course does not conform, you may demand that we bring it into conformity. We do that within a reasonable time from your report, at our cost and without undue inconvenience to you. We may refuse only if that is impossible or would cost us disproportionately. You may instead demand a price reduction, in proportion to the time or part affected, or withdraw from the contract, if bringing the course into conformity is impossible or disproportionately costly, if we fail to do it within a reasonable time, if the problem persists after we tried, if it is clear that we will not do it in a reasonable time or without undue inconvenience to you, or if the lack of conformity is serious enough to justify that at once (article 43n of the Consumer Rights Act). You may not withdraw for a lack of conformity that is immaterial, but the law presumes it is material. We refund within 14 days of your statement, by the payment method you used, and we never charge for a period in which the course did not conform.
10.5. You can report a lack of conformity at any time during the access period. We are liable for any lack of conformity that occurs or appears during that period (article 43l(3) of the Consumer Rights Act).
10.6. If the problem comes only from a device, browser or connection that does not meet clause 4.1, the presumption that the lack of conformity existed from supply does not apply (article 43l(5) of the Consumer Rights Act). We may ask you, in a reasonable way and by the least burdensome means, to help us check whether your setup is the cause.
10.7. Complaints. Send any complaint about the course, the account or the site to office@polyseminar.com, or by post to the address in clause 17. Say what the problem is, when it happened, which lesson or page it concerns, and what you want. We answer on a durable medium (email, unless you ask for post) within 14 days of receiving the complaint. If we do not answer within 14 days, the complaint counts as accepted (article 7a of the Consumer Rights Act).
10.8. If we reject a complaint from a consumer, our answer says whether we agree to out-of-court resolution of that dispute and which body would handle it (clause 16).
10.9. Nothing in clause 10 limits your rights under the law of the country where you live, if that law gives you more.
11. Our liability and what the material is
11.1. We are liable for non-performance or improper performance of the contract under the general rules of the Polish Civil Code and the Consumer Rights Act. Towards consumers we do not exclude or limit that liability, and towards anyone we do not limit liability for personal injury or for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence.
11.2. Polyseminar material supports independent study. It is not professional, medical, clinical, legal, cybersecurity or financial advice, and it does not replace professional judgment, the training, rules and procedures of your employer, institution or regulator, manufacturer instructions, or current publications from certification and standards bodies. We do not promise that you will pass any examination or obtain any certification. Any statement on the site about how the course covers an examination syllabus describes our aim and our method, not a result.
11.3. The free readiness check is part of that material. Its questions are written by Polyseminar, no certification body produced or endorsed them, and the score it returns measures how you did on those questions and nothing else. It points to what to read next. It is not a measure of professional competence and not a prediction of how an examination would go.
11.4. We are not responsible for interruptions caused by your own device, browser or internet connection, or by your email provider failing to deliver sign-in links, where those are outside clause 4.1. Short interruptions for maintenance or security are part of what you can reasonably expect of an online course; where we can, we schedule them outside peak hours and announce them on the site. An interruption that materially affects your use of the course over the access period is a lack of conformity under clause 10.
11.5. Towards a buyer who is not a consumer (and not a sole trader protected as one), our total liability under a contract is limited to the price paid for it, and we are not liable for lost profit or indirect loss. This clause does not apply to consumers.
12. Your obligations and permitted use
12.1. Unless a third-party notice says otherwise, the site, the course material, the questions, the explanations, the design and the source code are ours, and all rights are reserved. Using the site does not give you permission to reproduce, publish, sell or distribute the material, or to build other course products from it.
12.2. Use the course for your own learning only. The licence you receive is personal, non-transferable and limited to the access period. Do not copy, download in bulk, scrape, record, republish, sell or share the paid material or your sign-in links, and do not try to get around the access check. Normal quoting for private study within the limits of copyright law is allowed.
12.3. You must not supply unlawful content through the site. This includes anything you type into answers, forms or messages to us (article 8(3)(2)(b) of the Act on Providing Services by Electronic Means).
12.4. Do not interfere with the site’s operation, try to gain access to other accounts or data, or use automated tools against the sign-in or progress endpoints.
12.5. If you seriously break clause 12, we may suspend or end the account under clause 5.6, and we may claim damages under the general rules. We always first warn a consumer by email and give a reasonable time to stop, unless the breach is an attack on the site.
13. Changes to the course
13.1. During the access period we may change the course only for the reasons below, only at no cost to you, and only where the change is not needed to keep the course in conformity (changes needed for conformity we make anyway):
- to correct errors, outdated facts or broken sources;
- to add, update or replace lessons, questions, diagrams or sources when the underlying standards, guidelines or examination syllabus change;
- to improve accessibility, performance or security;
- to adapt the course to changes in the law.
13.2. We tell you clearly about such a change, in the course or by email. If a change materially and negatively affects your access to or use of the course, we tell you in advance by email, with the date and nature of the change, and you may end the contract without notice within 30 days of the change or of being told, whichever is later. We then refund the part of the price for the unused access period within 14 days. This right does not apply if we let you keep the unchanged course for the rest of your access period at no extra cost (articles 43p and 43q of the Consumer Rights Act).
14. Personal data
14.1. We process personal data as the controller described in the privacy notice. It covers the account, sign-in, sessions, progress, orders and payments, email, and the anti-spam check.
14.2. The legal basis for processing your order, access and progress is the performance of the contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). We keep the record of your consent and acknowledgement because the Consumer Rights Act requires it and because we have a legitimate interest in being able to prove it (Article 6(1)(c) and (f) GDPR).
15. Changes to these terms
15.1. We may change these terms for important reasons: a change in the law or in how an authority or court interprets it; a change in the payment provider or in how the site, account or course works technically; a new course or feature; the registration of the activity; or the correction of an error or ambiguity. We publish the new version on this page with its version and date.
15.2. For the account, which is an indefinite contract, we email you the new version at least 14 days before it takes effect. If you do not accept it, you may end the account at any time before that date. If you use the account after that date, the new version applies to the account.
15.3. For a paid access period already bought, the version in force at the order applies for the whole access period, except where a change is required by law or is only to your benefit. A change to the terms never changes the price, the access period or your statutory rights for an access period already bought.
16. Governing law and disputes
16.1. These terms and the contracts under them are governed by Polish law. If you are a consumer living in another country, this choice does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer rules of the country where you live (Article 6(2) of Regulation (EC) No 593/2008, Rome I).
16.2. A consumer living in an EU member state may sue us either in Poland or in the courts of their own country. We may sue a consumer only in the courts of the country where the consumer lives (Articles 17 and 18 of Regulation (EU) No 1215/2012). For a buyer who is not a consumer, the courts for Legionowo, Poland, have jurisdiction.
16.3. Out-of-court dispute resolution. No law and no prior commitment binds us to use out-of-court dispute resolution; we decide case by case, as clause 10.8 says. A consumer may in any case:
- ask the Trade Inspection (Inspekcja Handlowa) for mediation, or bring the case before the permanent consumer arbitration court at the Trade Inspection. The inspectorate for us is the Wojewódzki Inspektorat Inspekcji Handlowej w Warszawie, ul. Sienkiewicza 3, 00-015 Warszawa, wiih.org.pl;
- get free help from a municipal or district consumer ombudsman (rzecznik konsumentów) or a consumer organisation;
- consult the register of bodies authorised to resolve consumer disputes, kept by the President of the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (UOKiK), at polubowne.uokik.gov.pl;
- if living in another EU country, Norway or Iceland, contact the European Consumer Centre in that country, or the Polish one at konsument.gov.pl.
16.4. The European Commission’s online dispute resolution (ODR) platform closed on 20 July 2025 (Regulation (EU) 2024/3228), so we do not link to it.
16.5. Nothing in clause 16 limits a consumer’s right to go to court.

17.1. If any clause is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force. If we do not enforce a clause, we have not waived it.
17.2. The version and date at the top identify the current terms. Earlier versions are available on request.
17.3. We give no commercial guarantee beyond your statutory rights, we offer no after-sales services other than those in clauses 10 and 13, and we are not bound by any code of good practice.
